wanted digital camera with sdk wanted digital camera with sdkwanted digital camera with sdkhi,i am involved in the ride photo business (pictures of people on carnival rides) and have been looking for a digital camera that meets the needs of our industry for quite some time. up until now we have been using video cameras with capture boards which are becoming outdated. i would like to find an inexpensive digital camera to re-sell and develop future photo systems around.perhaps it would be best to start by explaining the requirements..a 2 - 4 megapixel camera with the image quality of an inexpensive digital would be fine.. we really dont need a 5 or 6 megapixel camera but we will take what we can get.usb image transfer and camera control. not unusual to have the camera several hundred feet from the capture computer and usb to cat-5 devices are inexpensive and easy to find. firewire requires troublesome repeaters and is not necessary.need an sdk so camera functions, control and image download can be incorporated into in-house software.would be great if focus, zoom and iris could be manually controlled through the camera sdk.fast shutter at least 1/2000 to catch fast moving subjects.shutter needs to be triggered from the sdk or with an external ttl signal.the ability to sync shutter to an external flash would be great.the tough part is the shutter needs to fire when it is told to by the sdk or external signal. our subjects can be moving and the camera needs to take the picture when it's told or at least have a predictable and repeatable delay.we can live with manual lens control and manual white balance, in fact manual works better in our industry than automatic. automatic controls are typically not fast enough.please let me know if your company might have anything that meets our needs. i would like to purchase a sample, if it works out would initialy buy 25 -50.regards,bob reevescontact person mr. bob reevestelephone 1-918-266-5897
